Self- advocate, motivational speaker and sports column writer
 

Supporting  people with interlectual disabilitys

I am 31 years old and live in Hampton, CT
I enjoy watching, following and participating in sports. I am knowledgeable in sports and  currently write a sports blog. I like to follow politics and plan to do some lobbying in the near future.
 
Below you will see a list of my accomplishments
 

I am one of 12 athletes from North America chosen to attend the first ever Special Olympics Internations (SOI) Global Athlete Congress held in the Hague, Netherlands.
 
For three years I took part in SELF DETERMINTATION CONFERENCE held at manchester community college;
      * Member of the organizing committe
      * Key note speaker
      * Moderator
       *Breakout session presenter
 
*I attended the President's Summit for America's Future as a reporter for Special Olympics International.
 
*For four years I was a speaker at the Juliet Long school in Grisworld,CT during the schools week long DISABILITY AWARENESS WEEK.
 
*I emceed the LIVING OUT LOUD reception at the Capital Building in Hartford.
 
*I attended the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Alaska. I took part in the GLOBAL YOUTH SUMMIT as a presenter and mentor.
 
*I  reported for Alaska's NBC Channel 2.
 
*I volunteered for Special Olympics CT (SOCT) in the Athlete Leadership Programs (Alps) for two years before being Hired as the ALPS Assistant.
 
*I am a memeber of the USLC (United States leadership Council) for Special Olympics.
 
*I was a co-host for two cable acces TV shows:
 Cox Cable with George Ducharme and Pat Beeman.
 
*I ocaasionally train new DSS new employee case managers.
 
*I train for DSS speaker's bureaus's and new self advocates to become public speakers.
 
*I currently write a sports column for with-Tv.
